In 1992 O.M.R. obtained a qualification according to ISO 9001 code, which allows to meet almost any certification requirement (including 3.2) and guarantees a continuous care for and pursuit of quality and Customers’ satisfaction.

At present O.M.R., comprehending a plant of 70.000 m2 with a covered area of 17.000 m2 and a range of products including fittings in sizes from ½” to 24”, is one of the largest manufacturers of Butt Welding fittings in Europe and has reached a remarkable position on the international market.

Thanks to the quality of its products and to its flexible business policy, it has also collected the main Customers’ qualifications.

Furthermore, in April 2003, in order to widen its commercial activity and to guarantee an ever better service to all its Customers, O.M.R. purchased GAM Raccordi. GAM Raccordi was founded in 1972 in Gazzola (Piacenza - Italy) and for the last 30 years has been one of the world largest independent manufacturers of Butt Weld Fittings to the Oil, Chemical, Gas, Petrochemical, Nuclear, Refinery and Process Industries, together with Gas Pipelines, Onshore/Offshore applications and Power Stations.

GAM Raccordi’s principal product range is Butt-welding Fittings in sizes from 1/2” up to 48” and special pieces according to customers’ drawings.

Nowadays GAM production plant based in Gazzola comprises 60.000 m2 with a covered space of 19.000 m2, which has been enlarged by the building of brand new welding and forming areas.

New investments have produced an improvement in facilities, equipment and production capacity enabling GAM to widen its production range up to 80” without limitation of wall thickness and material (i.e. Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, 6MO, Incoloy 825, Inconel 625, Titanium, Carbon Steel and other high yield/special alloy steels etc.). In particular, the new equipment and facilities have contributed to further enhance GAM production ability of manufacturing special materials for Power plants. GAM Raccordi has been accredited and Quality Assurance approved to ISO 9001: 2008 since 1989 and has obtained other major world-wide approvals as well. As acknowledged by its main Customers all over the world, GAM has made highest quality, flexibility and an ever better service to ensure Customers’ utmost satisfaction, its imperatives.

Starting from November the 29th 2017, O.M.R. Group have taken over the 100% of Piana S.p.A.: this important investment allowed our Group to become Leader on the European market about the manufacture of butt-welding fittings. In fact, the new acquisition of Piana S.p.A., comprehending a plant of 150.000 m2 with a covered area of 40.000 m2, enhances the production capacity of O.M.R. Group, granting the complete dimensional range up to 102”, in all grades of material with no limitation in wall thickness, in hot and cold forming, in seamless as welded execution.

These days O.M.R. Group counts on four plants, for a total of 280.000 m2 of available area and employs more than 300 people; each plant is deep specialized on one range of production, on standard pieces and on special tailored products too.
